So, what’s going on with everyone?
I just won’t be content until I go see The Great Gatsby again.
Well, do you want a movie buddy?
Ben didn’t know how he felt about seeing Landon. He knew they had never been on good terms ever since what happened months ago. Benz knew he wanted to work things out, though. Not relationship wise, but friendship wise. Landon was a good guy, Benz knew that. And he knows that he wants the best for him, whatever that may be. Nodding his head over to the spot beside him, Benz push his glasses onto his eyes. “C’mon.. Sit. Let’s catch up.”
Landon tentatively walked over to where Benz was sitting on the ground. He wasn’t sure how to act around Benz, because Landon knew he wasn’t completely over the boy. He let out a small sigh, and lowered himself down to the ground next to the boy. ”Uhm, so yeah. Hi.” He said, kind of awkwardly.
Once in a while, Spellman had it’s good days. Days where the sun would actually shine and make it seem like you could actually enjoy yourself. Today was one of those days. It wasn’t too hot, however it wasn’t humid. Just… right. SO, Benz decided to go outside for once, which seemed to be a rare occasion lately. He had only went outside his room to go to classes and get food, whenever it was necessary. But today was just too perfect to miss. Laying down in the grass, hands behind his head, he closed his eyes. It was peaceful in that moment. Soon, his ears were filled with another person’s footsteps, and they seemed to be getting closer. Leaning up on his elbows, he pushed up his RayBans, only to see Landon. “Landon…?”
Landon stepped out of the doors, into the bright sun. He smiled and took it in for a second. It was a beautiful day, and he wanted to spend it outside. He slipped his aviators over his eyes, and began to walk. He didn’t know exactly where he was going, but he knew he wanted to walk. He began to hum to himself, walking a slow pace. Then, he heard someone call his name. He turned his head, confused and looked down, seeing someone laying down. Then his eyes landed on Benz. He felt his stomach twist, and he froze for a second. He let out a small whimper, quietly, then nodded and waved slightly. ”Uh, hi Benz..” He said, softly.
Jackson smiled at Landon and walked them both up to the large building, opening the door with his free hand and let go of Landon. He then bowed jokingly and gestured for Landon to walk inside. He looked quizzically at the room numbers and open door and then turned to the other young man saying, “Which one do I go to, do you know?” He was rather confused by the large number of offices to go to, so he wasn’t sure what to do.
Landon’s eyes widened when they walked into the building. He had forgotten how big this place was, and he had no idea where to go. He turned to look at Jackson and shook his head, looking rather lost. ”I, uh, no. I completely forgot.” He reached up with his free hand and scratched his head, turning back and looking at all the offices. He bit his lip, wishing that he knew where to go, considering he was supposed to be helping.
Jackson rubbed Landon’s shoulder and said, “Of course I’m excited to be here. This university is opening a lot of doors for me. It’s not like I just wanted to get away from my family. I get to make my own decisions here and I can study what I want to.” He then looked down at his shoulder and kissed Landon on the forehead, continuing walking.
Landon smiled, blushing slightly as his forehead was kissed, then he snuggled his head into the crook of Jackson’s neck,. ”Well, I”m glad that you are doing what you want to do and not just running away. That is really great.” He reached up with his hand and grabbed the hand that was draped around his shoulder, intertwining their fingers.
Jackson nuzzled his forehead and nose against Landon’s and started to trace his hands up and down his back slowly. He felt right at home here. However, this was going a little fast now and he didn’t want to rush in too quickly. Then, he came back to the realization that they should be doing things to get him moved in. So, Jackson twirled Landon around his left arm and started to walk him toward the building he needed to go to. That way at least they could get something done to get him moved in.
Landon smiled and leaned his head on Jackson’s shoulder, walking along side him. He let his eyes close slowly, trying to enjoy the moment. ”So, are you excited to be here?” He asked the other boy, curious. He knew that Jackson had come here to get away from his family, but he didn’t know if the boy actually wanted to be here or not.
